About Us
Peck Wealth Management’s founder, Alison Peck, has made investment decisions for over 30 years and has held senior positions with leading firms in both investment research and portfolio management.
As a Senior Portfolio Manager at JPMorgan Private Bank, Alison managed over $2 billion in Client assets including highly complex family, trust, foundation and retirement accounts. She continues to serve many of the same families as an independent Investment Advisor.
Alison has nurtured many relationships for over a decade thanks to her clients' trust and confidence in her integrity as well as investment performance. Alison’s focus on lifelong investing led to the creation of Peck Wealth Management. Taking exceptional care of each Client’s money for both present and future generations is the sole mission of the firm.
Alison started her career in the early 1980’s as a research analyst with Stephens Inc., the Little Rock, Arkansas investment banking firm. Alison quickly became one of the youngest members of the Senior Management Team and served as the Director of Research for over ten years. Emphasis on intensive primary research provided the perfect foundation for Alison’s early career development. This research consisted of in depth analysis of industries and companies as well as rigorous interviews with CEO's, managements and competitors. These "young" companies were preparing to become leaders in their industries and many are now among the most profitable competitors. It was in these early years that Alison defined a framework for analyzing investments centered on four principles: Curiosity, Clarity, Consistency, Care.
With this foundation, Alison applied her research skills to portfolio management, and in 1998 she began managing Client assets for the New York private wealth management division of U.S. Trust Company. She later joined HSBC Bank as a Senior Portfolio Manager and the Team Leader for the New York market. In these positions as well as at JPMorgan, Alison held discretionary authority over the assets under management. She was responsible for managing individual stock and bond portfolios as well as allocating assets to specialized managers and alternative strategies. Alison communicated directly with her clients including wealthy families, trustees, foundation boards and corporate executives.
Alison has held the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation since 1986. She graduated summa cum laude, BBA Finance, from the University of Memphis and attended the University of Texas Graduate School of Business. The importance Alison places on Client care, sharpened over decades of experience, first developed in her childhood years growing up and working in a family owned hotel. The Hotel Sam Peck, in Little Rock, Arkansas was nationally recognized for its exceptional service and continental style.
